Book of 1 John
Come and meet John, “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (John 13:23). Now an old man, John had followed Jesus from the beginning and was an eye-witness to what He said and did. Now, 60 years after Jesus’ crucifixion, while Christianity had exploded, most of the eye witnesses to Jesus’ teaching and miracles had passed away. Without the eye witness testimonies, the Gospel, the Truth of Jesus was being questioned and false teachings were undermining the Truth.
As the leader of the churches in Asia Minor and Jesus’ closest friend, John wrote this letter and his gospel to provide his eye witness testimony to Jesus followers and seekers then and now. While there are many alt explanations of Jesus and His mission on earth, John’s eye witness testimony resounds through the millennia that Jesus is the embodiment of God’s love and truth.
Ever wonder what it would have been like to spend a day with Jesus? This short course is your opportunity to invest close to a full day in total getting to know Jesus through the eyes and words of probably His best friend.
