From Matthew 14:1-12
Herod shakes his head in disbelief,
Another sleepless night with no relief.
The party, the guests, the dance so beguiling,
The oath, the request, there would be no denying.
As sleep flees the night, the head looms so gory.
Now whispers, now rumors, an incredible story.
A man filled with power now fills Herod with dread.
The man he beheaded is back from the dead.
