As a person involved in missions, I’ve often spent many hours pondering the fact that there are millions of unreached people around the world who don’t know who Christ is. It breaks my heart even more though, that even in “reached” areas there are countless people who don’t understand Jesus or His love.
Maybe you’re like me and have thought, “How can I live my life so I can reach the most people and share the love of God effectively?” It can be an intimidating idea because you may have the misconception that you would need to move to a poor country to share the gospel, or start up a church in your city, or quit your job to do full time ministry. While, these lifestyles are great and appropriate for some people, it is not necessarily the most effective way to reach unbelievers.
So, are you ready for the answer? It’s simple.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God… Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love” ( 1 John 4:7-8 ESV).
Love people.
In every way that you can. At any time that you can. At every place that you’re in. By any possible means that you can. And to every single person that you meet.
The most effective way to share the gospel to unbelievers is simply to love them. Everybody craves love, so show them the real, life-giving, and powerful love of Christ. His love is transformative and satisfying, so feel free to flaunt it. Let your life be littered with big and small acts of love towards everyone, but especially unbelievers.
